Economic Policy
Ralph Hall is a
tireless advocate
for lower taxes and
a smaller more
efficient
government. He
understands that in
order to keep our
economy growing we
have to restrain
spending by the
federal government,
focus on job
creation, and reform
our federal tax
code.
Energy Policy
Ralph Hall will
continue to work to
lessen our country's
need for foreign oil
through increased
drilling off the
Gulf and Alaskan
coasts, use of clean
coal technology,
expanded nuclear and
natural gas use,
increased
conservation
efforts, and
expanding the use of
alternative fuels.
Immigration
Ralph Hall knows our
immigration policies
need to be
tightened. This
includes protecting
the rights of legal
immigrants to our
country which our
economy depends on
and stopping illegal
immigration which we
can't afford.
Veterans
I have strongly
supported Veterans
of the 4th District
since I was first
elected to serve as
U.S. Representative.
Veterans have given
so much to our
country, and as a
veteran myself, I
understand the
importance of
supporting the men
and women in the
armed services. To
that end, I am
pleased to report
that I supported,
and the House has
approved, the
following bills in
support of veterans:
H.R. 23:Belated
Thank You to the
Merchant Marines of
World War II -
Establishes the
Merchant Mariner
Equity Compensation
Fund for payments of
$1,000 to each
documented member of
the U.S. Merchant
Marine serving as a
crewmember in World
War II.
H.R. 403:Homes for
Heroes Act of 2009 -
Establishes a
Special Assistant
for Veterans
Affairs, who will
work to ensure that
veterans have access
to HUD housing and
homeless assistance
programs, and
coordinate all HUD
programs and
activities relating
to veterans.
H.R. 466:Wounded
Veteran Job Security
Act - Entitles
veterans who miss
work due to
treatment for a
service-connected
disability to be
retained by the
veteran's employer,
maintain seniority
and other rights and
benefits, and be
considered on
furlough or leave of
absence during such
treatment.
H.R. 1016: Veterans
Health Care Budget
Reform and
Transparency Act-
Authorizes funding,
and requires a study
of the accuracy of
budget projections
made by the Enrollee
Health Care
Projection Model.
Healthcare
Ralph Hall is
working to reform
healthcare in our
country by promoting
greater access to
affordable health
insurance for small
businesses and all
Americans through a
variety of tax
breaks and
incentives.
Social
Security/Medicare
Ralph Hall is
committed to
ensuring the
solvency of Social
Security and
Medicare but equally
committed to finding
ways to improve
programs that will
allow younger
workers more options
on how best to plan
for their retirement
